This hunt takes place in the South Eastern part of the Yukon. Hunting is done by jet boat on the river for Moose in the rut. The least physical demanding moose hunt you could go on. Hunting will be done in the prime rut season, with the guides calling in the Moose.

Both fresh and saltwater activities may be conducted from "The Bear Necessity", a 53' Yacht equipped with full accommodations for multi-day, overnight excursions; and the Stikine Spirit, a 26’ jet boat used for day trips navigating fresh water rivers and streams.

Centrally located 65 miles south of King Salmon, this fish camp is in the heart of Alaska Peninsula National Wildlife Refuge. Specialize in small groups of six or less and target fish are all species of Salmon, Giant Arctic Grayling, Arctic Char, Northern Pike and lake Trout.

The seasons n the Alaska Peninsula alternate spring to fall. Example, even years (06, 08) the season is in the spring, odd years (05, 07) in the fall. This is not a permit hunt and we will take no more than nine clients per year in our two areas on the peninsula. These hunts are conducted on both Upper and Lower Ugashik Lakes.

This hunt is conducted from a comfortable 53-ft yacht, during the rut in late October and November or from tent camps in the alpine in August & September.
